Cookie policy

Last updated 4 July 2026

MyPrepCentre uses only essential cookies — the small files a browser needs so you can sign in and stay secure. We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of any kind, and we never share cookie data with advertisers. Because every cookie we set is strictly necessary to run the service, UK law doesn't require your consent for them — this page simply explains what they are.

Cookies we set

  • pc_session — keeps you signed in. A signed, tamper-proof token that lasts up to 7 days or until you sign out.
  • pc_2fa — holds your sign-in for the few minutes between entering your password and entering the emailed two-step code. Expires after 15 minutes.
  • pc_trust — remembers a device you've verified so you're not asked for a two-step code on every sign-in. Lasts 30 days.
  • Cookie notice — when you dismiss the cookie banner we store that choice in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so we don't show it again.

All three cookies are first-party, signed, and marked HttpOnly and Secure — they can't be read by scripts and are only ever sent over encrypted connections. They contain a session reference, not your personal details.

Cookies set by our providers

  • Cloudflare — the registration page uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam sign-ups, and Cloudflare may set its own security cookies to tell humans from bots. These are security cookies, not tracking.
  • Stripe — when you add a payment method or open the billing portal you're taken to Stripe's own secure pages, which set Stripe's cookies for fraud prevention and to make checkout work. They're covered by Stripe's own cookie policy.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because everything we set is essential, blocking cookies for myprepcentre.com will stop you being able to sign in.
